Mason is One!!  This little man… what a sweet little soul!  I am so happy to have met this family and been able to capture these moments for them. Mason was a preemie, born only at 28 weeks so his journey throughout this past year of life has been emotional to say the least.  I am happy to say that, for me, he was just as a one year old should be- healthy and happy!  His mom had the idea for a “hotair balloon” themed shoot for his first birthday. I LOVE the colorful bouquet of balloons she brought along on the shoot. The lighting at Koreshan State Park was gorgeous on this prime fall day. Mom and Dad were a little worried about the “smash-the-cake” part of the shoot because it was Mason’s very first time eating eggs and flour. He did great although I don’t think he loved the taste. He was a little weary of it all hehe.  It all worked out though because he got what every one year old should have on their first birthday, Cake Face!!
