Handsome Chase at 9 Days Old.  Chases’s mommy found me through a mutual friend in Fort Lauderdale so I got to take a little vacation over to spend some time with him and his family!  He’d been sleeping so soundly until I got there and then he just wanted to stay awake for all the excitement!  He still did a great job especially for not being used to a big ol’ camera in his face while he’s lying naked!  Take a look at his awesome nursery!!! I love this design and recognize some of the restoration hardware pieces. The neutral colors suited their home perfectly. Remi, their sweet dog, was not camera shy at all. I got a whole sequence of him by himself (not shown) but then Chase fell asleep so we created a little pillow bed for him in front of Remi and got some sweet shots.  Then, as soon as Amanda, Chase’s mom, suggested to dad, Chad, to go grab his surfboards for some shots, he was soo excited. The little hats maybe aren’t always Daddy’s things but when you get something they are familiar with, they light up! hehe. We wanted to pull the blanket and diaper from the surfboard shot but Chase was just to perfect to move at that point and it worked out because he had the cutest little ocean-themed diaper on (anchors). So it had started out as a sunny day but we lost a lot of daylight throughout the shoot and ended up opening the front door and using the natural light even while it was pouring down rain. All in all it was great to meet and capture this sweet family, get some new mother-to-be advice from Amanda and visit the East Coast of Florida 🙂
